How the Private-Door Remote Release Operates

The Private-Door Remote Release requires a lever-style handle, which can be ordered through Private-Door or purchased at your local home improvement store. For a list of compatible models, click here.

OPEN CYCLE

Step 1: Push the remote control button to activate the Private-Door.

Step 2: The Door Release turns the handle.

When the remote control is activated, the Remote Release automatically turns the levered style handle, retracting the door latch. The door can be pushed open. Requires a lever style handle.

CLOSE CYCLE

Step 2: The Door Release returns the handle to its resting position.

An adjustable timer will return the handle to its normal position. This timer can be set from 0 to 60 seconds when the unit is installed. The Door Release does not interfere with the manual operation or locking of the door.
